I am switching majors from computer science to possibly a double major in finance and accounting. I have finished calc 2 and currently taking linear algebra. Should I take calc 3 and deferential equations? Would these classes help me in these majors? Would they help when I look for a job? Or are they useless for the majors I am switching to?
You should look at the business major core curriculum for your college but generally business majors only need to go up to calculus 1. Additional calculus course probably won’t do much for you. No reason to go further although you will most likely need to take statistics.
I have NEVER seen any need for Calculus in the accounting profession. Statistics, on the other hand, is very useful. It is also required by almost all college accounting curriculum.
