Although our best wishes always, I was hoping for an update on the Calculus front...
<dramatic voice-over="" announcer="" voice="">
Were the mids able to band together in study hall?
Were the instructors genuinely available for extra instruction?
Were tutors available for the mids? And was it in time?
Do any of the mids subscribe to the fixed-price online tutoring services?
And if so, have they helped them turn the corner?</dramatic>

And will Brad and Nikki find out that Brock is really their father, and may not wake up from the coma in the hospital... (or, sorry, that's a daytime soap-opera thing --- just kiddin').

But seriously, I was hoping the mids could tell what made/didn't make a difference.

Thought everyone might enjoy this little humor that I saw the other day. It was a copy of a test and the question was:
1. Expand (x + y)^n

The student's answer was as follows:
(....x....+.....y).....^.....n
(.........x............+.............y............)...............^..............n
(..............x................+...............y............)...............^.............n

except without the dots, had to add those in to keep the spacing for some reason.
I had to laugh when I saw that one, because there were definately times in calc and physics where that is what I wanted to write.

Congratulations on at least surviving to this point. I understand the Calc final was a bear, but you are all smart - for that is the reason you are at KP to begin with. If for some reason you don't fare on the exam as well as you expected, fear not - for there are many that have gone before you and have suffered the same...and there are many that will see it in the future.

You have studied hard, and have done your best. What more can be asked? Smoke 'em on the Physics test tomorrow and have a great break. Come back for the 3rd term ready to kick a little more booty....

I'm the father of only one of you, but I'm proud of all of you. You deserve the respect of all...

Ditto that. Well said JRH. The Mids are at a difficult place & time. Hope they now enjoy the MUCH deserved break. Go home, shake it off & enjoy life for a while. Bad weather in NY today so fingers crossed for all those flights later. I know some of it is a repeat of Xmas with flights canceled. It'll be soooo good when everyone gets home. Safe travels! Some Mids are already home. I have not one but TWO here. I'm gonna go freak them out by watching them sleep. :D

Just heard on the radio lots of delays at the NY airports. It is raining cats and dogs up here. My dd's school was even delayed...first ever for rain!

The sailing team is driving through all the bad weather to Old Dominion for the week. It's a 7 hour drive in good weather. Keep all our students in your prayers, flying and driving! As well as the families of baseball team in the accident in Atlanta this morning.

Picked up LFWB last night about 1830 and drove home. Needed to detour to Pat's in South Philly for a cheesesteak on the way. He needed some real food before being subjected to whatever the gruel will be on POH ;) As of this morning, flight reservations still hadn't been made. Got to love the ATRs.

Yep. Gotta love em. No plans as of yet either. They have official orders & are waiting on the email to tell them where to go & when. Wish I could get them out of bed & packed. My stuff is by the door & waaaaiiiiting to go to Charleston to take them to a KP Alumni meeting tonight. RAdm. McMahon is the guest speaker tonight. I'm trying to get in some shopping beforehand & these sleepers are cutting into my Visa card time. :) SAFE TRAVELS everyone!!

:D I'm keeping my Mids. No orders in the mail today so guess that means they're mine to keep! Did the Charleston over the week-end, caught a 5 lb. small mouth bass today & threw it back in the lake (smack), Sushi search & girl radar went up this evening so I stayed home. Going to play 18 holes tomorrow. I'm not giving them back. Maybe I can hire out the laundry though......
