Calendar Questions

I have a copy of NU's 2007 - 08 calendar and have some questions. I live out of state and will need airline reservations. I'll ask a few specific questions and maybe you veterans can help me out.

Fall exams end on Friday, Dec. 14th. How is the exam schedule set up? Are they all overwith at some specific time of day?

When do the dorms close for winter break? (i.e., Would I fly out in the evening of the 14th or on Saturday the 15th?)

Classes resume on January 7th. When do the dorms re-open? Would I be able to fly back to Chicago on the 5th or do I need to wait until the 6th?

I am doing a PWild event. Has anyone got any experience with that? I'm wondering when exactly we arrive back at NU on the 17th and where we spend that night since we can't move into the dorms until the 18th... I know I was accepted to the program, but haven't received further information yet and need to be making some plans.

Can anyone help me sort this out or direct me elsewhere for the official scoop?

Thanks a lot. I can't believe the fall quarter is so close at hand!

I believe the latest time slot for a final is 7-9pm, but obviously what time you're done will depend on what class you're taking

i'm not positive but to be safe the dorms are definitely open the day before classes start, possibly even two days before, but you'd have to check on that to be sure. but definitely the day before.

PS i just found this, fall 2007 exam schedule:http://www.registrar.northwestern.edu/registration/4280/4280exam.pdf

Dorms open the day before classes for the new quarter start (with the exception of fall quarter, for freshmen).

congratulations, PWild is really really amazingly fun (I did it when I was a freshman and had a great time). When you get back to NU on the 17th depends on where you go to camp (some got back much later than others). In general it will be at night. Everyone from PWild spends the night on the lakefill, which in itself is really cool. Don't plan on actually sleeping that much- most groups stayed up almost all night and then went out for breakfast at like 6 am. (hahaha, I would do it all over again if I could)
