Hi
Im currently a freshman at Drexel University in Philadelphia and I want to transfer to USC Marshall. My advisor told me that one thing I can do is transfer to a community college in California and then transfer to USC. If I transfer to a community college next year (sophomore year), do I have to go to the community college for 2 years or just one year?
Also how does the california community college/transferring to California colleges (like UC's, USC, etc) work?

Anyone know???

It really depends on the amounts of credits that will transfer. You need 60 credits to be able to transfer as a junior. I’m have no idea on your particular situation though.

For most students at a California Community College, they follow the IGETC requirements. These can be found on assist.org, which also has plenty of info on transferring from every CCC to the public universities in the state. That’s about all I know; I’m currently transferring to the UC system. As far as the particulars for USC, can’t help you. Though, it’s a private school so their requirements are likely to be slightly – if not substantially – different. I would contact them directly. Transferring from a CCC to a private school is different than transferring from a CCC to a public university such as a CSU or UC.
