That’s good to know that UC Irvine is shedding it’s “commuter/suitcase” school reputation. I’d heard hints recently too that that was outdated–your post confirms it! Your description of the surrounding neighborhood sounds a lot like the Westwood/UCLA area on a weekend that I recently visited.

They are not honors courses at our high school, bummer. I do know they they are at the neighboring school and I suspect our district doesn’t want kids to opt for those electives only for the honors weight??
