california state residency

I noticed that schools like UCB and UCLA really consider state residency, does this mean I have a significant disadvantage if I lived in Minnesota?
thanks guys

you just have to pay 20,000 more a year !!!
and they actually love out of state students because of the budget problem …

Yeah, leakers is right. UCs cost as much as private colleges for out of state students (and you have almost no chance of graduating in 4 years), but they love having out of state students for that reason. ^^ Y’all provide a lot of their money right now.

A very large percentage of UC students graduate in four years. It’s a popular urban legend that because of budget cuts and the like that most do not.

The top UCs (UCLA and UC Berkely) have historically been very selective for out of state students. There are indications that these UCs may take some additional out of state students in the coming years. That said, the extra number will not significant change the selectivity of these UCs.
