Hello. My daughter (senior in HS) and I will be visiting USC, Clemson, and UGA the weekend of October 12th. There are no tours scheduled that weekend, but we would love to see the campus. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can meet up with a student who wouldn't mind giving us a quick tour of USC? Preferably someone on campus from the West Coast who can give us some perspective on attending USC when you are from California. My daughter is interested in sororities as well, so someone with that experience would be helpful.

I would say reach out to the Visitor’s Center to see if any University Ambassadors might be willing to give you a tour, even if it is informal. If not, there is a University of South Carolina app that features a self-guided virtual tour.

I noticed there are two girls on ambassador’s page from California. Maybe you could take to visitor’s center and see if they would put you in contact with them for your daughter to be able to ask questions.

Give the Visitor’s Center a call and see if they can do anything. If not, USC is a really pretty campus and you can get a nice feel for it without an actual tour guide.

Thank you for the suggestions - I was able to connect with a student from California (although she will be out of town the weekend we are there). She mentioned there is an Open House that weekend (October 12th). I had been looking at the campus tours, which are not scheduled that weekend.

Does anyone know what the difference is? The Open House looks like what we were looking for, but maybe it is specifically for HS seniors, and the campus visit is for anyone who wants to attend?

^^It does look like it is specifically for HS seniors only. I would call admissions and see what they can do for you since you are coming from so far away. Hope this link works:
