any good undergrad business schools in CALI other than the UCs?

Well, only two UC's would fit the bill, Berkeley and Riverside. Berkeley is much harder to get into and one must apply for the major again after two years here (and after taking particular classes known for being somewhat to very difficult). USC works, and I know someone very happy with University of Redlands. Other than that, many people go to Claremont McKenna before heading into business, but they usually study Political Science and or Economics, the school's specialties. I don't knot if the University of San Diego has a business program, but it is worth checking into, as is Pepperdine. St. Marys has a program, as does University of San Francisco. Some of the Cal States do, and the certain calstates are known as being stronger than others. I think Cal Poly Pomona and SLO both do, but I'm positive about Pomona. Fullerton has it. University of the Pacific does, too. I don't know how good most of these are, besides USC, which is solid. These won't compare well to Wharton or the best, but they can be quite good to their students if the student does well. There are probably others, but this is a start.

On another note, are you sure you want to major in business? Read about the business degree and also about people with other degrees who go into business. A BA in bis admin is necessary for certain things, but not for others. There are advantages and disadvantages to the degree, and you might find a different subject more interesting.
