<p>Nothing builds your vocab better than actual experience...Watch TV shows, read Harry Potter...Cramming from lists isn't going to help that much.</p>

<p>Barron's 3500 words and the Kaplan vocab helped...but I wouldn't recommend you going over all 3500 words in Barron's, because some of them are totally useless.
The best thing is to get used to the questions. Just solve a bunch of practice questions out of several SAT practice books. Well, I ended up getting 700 from 580. I messed up on the reading, but I got a 100% on the Analogies section. So, i guess my method somehow helped me.</p>
