Calling all Cornell applicants

Did you guys figure out the Cornell prompt?

"Consider the academic programs in the school/college you indicated above. How will you utilize them to further explore your intended major or field of interest, or general academic interests if you're undecided?"

I don't really understand what it was asking. I am applying for CALS and want to major in Animal Science. I wasn't sure what they meant by "programs" however and didn't want to stab at it w/o fully understanding.

Classes, seminars, study-abroad opportunities, research projects. Anything academic that a school offers to you to is a "program." Look into what they offer in these areas (and more) to see what you plan on taking advantage of. They want to see that you're familiar with their offerings and that you're also applying because their school offers what you want. This way, by accepting you, they will be able to fulfill your academic needs.

Thank you so much! You have helped me out tremendously!
