Calling All Harvard Students!

Could you tell me what the campus is like?

@writer37 What about the campus specifically?

(I’m not a Harvard student but I’ve been on Harvard’s campus a lot)

The library, the atmosphere. Have you seen the dorms? Thanks for your response  @MITer94

@writer80 Only on the outside (although I took a tour awhile ago that visited one of the libraries). I pass by Harvard Square pretty frequently though; lots of good restaurants and shops.

Thank you for your feedback

Have you done the Virtual Tour? https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/visit/virtual-tour

@Writer80 My D attended the summer semester last year at Harvard and lived in Canaday on campus. It is a Freshman dorm. The building had no air conditioning and no elevator to get her or her luggage up to the third floor where she lived. It had a hall bathroom that had two sinks/showers/toilets for all 7 girls to share. Her bedroom actually had its own door that locked and opened to the common room. It did have a window that opened and she rented a box fan. Canaday is very close to Annenberg Hall where the Freshman eat and that building is gorgeous! (Very Harry Potter Great Hall-like) It is also very close to many buildings freshman need to enter, including a library, and that is fabulous! The “yard” is vibrant and has a cozy feel. My D felt immediately comfortable there and loved every minute she got to be at Harvard.! I remember her shiny face as she looked around and spoke the words, “I feel like I am among my people!” LOL! She would have loved a little A/C  It was HOT !! She did get to visit other dorms and liked them as well. Across the street, an easy stroll, is everything from eateries to shopping, to CVS for toiletries. She went in to Boston on the train and in general had no problems getting everywhere she wanted to be! A very safe feel to it all. This was good, because I had to leave her there and she was 16. She used Uber a lot as well. She especially loved the Law Library! She wants to study law and hopes to study it at Harvard, and one of the first places she wanted to visit on campus was that library! The students there were very nice, not stuffy people at all. A great diversity in people and smiling faces! I loved the “happy” factor that abounded. I hope you get to go! I hope my D gets to go back

Thanks! @pink316

Dorms are being renovated one by one. In the virtual tour, you can see the results for one, Quincy House.
