haha im just kiddin magnet, its just funny when like only one person keeps posting on their thread (lol you take the laughs at CC any way you can get them)

fa sho ^

(10 chars)

yeah thats true...i think i should just chill out until dec.15 and then work my way from there...

This is the most shallow thread in the history of threads. If you get in I will mock you endlessly when you get here.

that's not very nice, Jon :-P
although this wasn't the type of thread I was looking for, at least it tried to gather all M&T applicants lol

I am starting to wish I applied, mostly to see if I could get into Wharton.

can someone post some insights on transferring from SEAS to m&t/Wharton

oh and are Wharton ppl liberal arts concentrated, like talking and making people think they have knowledge or are they really the intelligent ppl with strong math (i.e. Calc IV and Calc V) and strong science?

did you just imply that liberal arts concentrators have no actual / useful knowledge?

life isn't all about calc 4 (we don't even have a calc 5, technically, it's just called advanced calculus) - especially since only math majors / minors would even consider going beyond calc 4, at least here.

don't disrespect other forms of learning. intelligence manifests itself in a rich variety of ways.

u tell em tenebrous!

CAS all the wayyy

ooh....im sorry about the previous comment...it wasnt meant to be construed as negative towards the liberal arts fields

but what i was trynna ask was does Wharton have students with a QUANTITATIVE focus or more of a theory type of focus?
i.e. do they have substantial math/science skills or are they more of the talking about theory type

science, no, unless they're m+t (which is not to say that whartonites don't like science, but they don't have to take many science courses while they're here).

math, depends on concentration, but usually yes (math is kinda necessary for finance, accounting, other quantitative business things).

theory depends on the type of theory we're talking about. if they were truly interested in economic theory alone, they'd probably be econ majors in the college.

ok now that's useful info.....

one final point of discussion...

what does Wharton/M&T look for in a candidate...could you judge my stats and tell me what chance i have for M&T and based on a predicted rejection what chances I have for SEAS...i know i already turned in the APP but it would really help since that way I can use you, current students's advice, to help me decide whether or not to send in the other apps. Im holding off on other apps since im applying to a lot of schools and getting accepted early without having to apply will save me a LOT of money.
