How many of you had to help the incoming freshmen find their classes? I personally helped around ten. Poor guys had no idea where they were. One guy was looking for the "ENC" building. (ENC = English Comp). Anyone else out there play tour guide today? Any humorous stories out of it?

I had people asking me for directions, and I was a first quarter freshman myself. I apparently knew the campus slightly more than a lot of others though, probably due to me wandering around campus the few days before class to get my bearings. Even so, I just find it funny that even as a first quarter freshman I looked like I knew where I was going enough to where people were asking me for directions.

On a similar note, there was a third year in one of my winter quarter classes last year (freshman year) that asked me if I knew where a certain lecture was, and no she wasn’t a transfer student. That one was understandable because the lecture hall is out in the boonies compared to other lecture halls, but I still found it kind of funny.

Glad to hear it. It would be one thing if I myself went to a big university. I go to a six building community college. And all the buildings are labelled in HUGE blue letters. And the course schedule tells you what building your class is in.
