I know I'll get a lot of flack for this, but here's my question to the CC SAT/ACT community anyway: would it make sense to start a separate forum devoted specifically to the non-SAT help requests?

It seems the deeper we are stepping into a school year, the more people are needing an assistance with a school work.
I don't mind helping if some efforts are shown, but I don't see it happening.

But more importantly: I think for people concerned with the SAT problems, wading through a growing number of extraneous questions is becoming quite an annoyance.
Any answers will be appreciated, right?

It's not about being annoyed with questions - it's about having unrelated to the SAT questions on this forum.
Or maybe a separate forum would not attract that much traffic and pleas for help would go unnoticed?
I can't speak for anybody else, that's why I am interested in other posters' opinions.

You come to the site at your own discretion.

Certain helps with problems on the SAT are somewhat of an added aspect to the forum. The SAT and ACT section doesn't primarily have only SAT problem questions. It is more of an informative section about the SAT, ACT, and APs...

It could make sense to have a separate forum, but then the site would be heavily involved in homework help, which I don't think this forum was created for.

No, no, I am not saying that only questions from the SAT/ACT/PSAt tests should be posted here with requests for explanations.
This forum is for everything related to this tests.

That's exactly what I find wrong happening to this forum.

Moderators aren't thrilled about people posting nonSAT/ACT questions in this forum. I agree that providing an additional forum for non-SAT/ACT problemsand_solutions would reduce the confusion, but I doubt that CC will go for it.
