Is CALS Rolling Admission?

If so, can someone explain to me how it works?

Its not rolling admissions.

I think you may be confused because last year I think they didnt send all of their decisions out at once. As long as you apply before the deadline, you wont be at an advantage or disadvantage for applying sooner (unlike Penn State or Purdue, who both use the rolling admission process).

CALS IS rolling admissions, along with ILR and Hotel!

Look up the requirements for admissions page at:

All rolling admissions does is provide students with an earlier acceptance decision (admissions decisions for ILR, Hotel, and CALS are sent out on a rolling basis beginning mid-February). However, like yousonofatree said above, rolling admissions does not give you an advantage (unless a significant portion of applications are not complete when the rolling process begins), as the schools/college do not start to roll until after the deadline.

where does it say anywhere on that site about rolling admissions?

I think youre confusing rolling application PROCESS with rolling decisions.

Rolling Application PROCESS means that the sooner you apply, the sooner you'll get a response (no EA or ED).

The deadline for all regular applicants is January 1st, and the admission DECISIONS are rolling, which means they dont send them all out at once.

"where does it say anywhere on that site about rolling admissions?"

Its a pdf link. You have to the link that has 'requirements' on it. Also, this information is right on the Cornell application.

"I think youre confusing rolling application PROCESS with rolling decisions."

I'm just responding to the post by bashi asking if CALS practiced "Rolling Admission?" Nowhere in the post does it say "rolling process;" bashi specifically spoke about "rolling admissions." Also, I think I explained pretty clearly exactly what rolling admissions is.

oh ok

bashi- if you want to know what a true rolling admissions process is like, look at Penn State's website. You'll probably understand the difference after you read it a little bit.
