Hi. I'm trying to figure out which major to select on the CALS/Cornell application. I want to take pre-med courses, but I also really love physics/math, and am thinking I might also pursue classwork to become a secondary school physics teacher. The Science of Earth Systems major seems like it might be a good fit, because of the heavy concentration of physical science/math.....................but am I over looking other options? I know about the interdisciplinary major, but am worried that checking that might make me look like a woozie applicant since I still haven't got it all figured out.

Um…why don’t you just apply to CAS? That way you can actually do something in physics

Because I’m a NYS resident so the tuition would be a lot less at CALS. I’m not sure how much financial aid I’ll get and I’m a little worried about debt load if I do end up going to med school
