<p>Just wondering....why do they require a Bio 1 & 2 for transfers to CALS, even if you are 100% interested in AEM? I can understand the English requirement.</p>
<p>CALS obviously focuses on the life sciences and so their distribution requirements reflect this. There are plenty of Bio options for students...you'll find one that works.</p>
<p>BTW....CALS is not the only college with this requirement. Even non-science majors at SUNY schools are required to take at least 1 semester of Biology or related science as part of the General Education requirements.</p>
