CALS SAT Subject Test Requirements

I am a junior in the midst of scheduling and studying for SAT/SAT II/AP (at least 6 tests in less than 3 months...yikes) and I have a question about Cornell's SAT Subject Test Requirements.

On the Freshman Admission Requirements page, under CALS, it lists "a math and science SAT Subject Test is strongly recommended" (i.e. required). My question is, I am interested in applying to CALS for its AEM (Applied Economics and Management, i.e. undergraduate business) major that seemingly does not include a lot of science. Is the "strong recommendation" for a science SAT Subject Test apply to prospective AEM majors? It seems they just made a blanket statement regarding SAT IIs for the entire CALS (most of which is science intensive) without taking into consideration the requirements of individual majors (such as AEM, which does not seem to "fit" with the science-based curriculum of the CALS).

Any help?

Thanks in advance!
