<p>Has anyone's parent been to the calso orientation? If so, is it worth it?
I read the overview of the program, but they were kind of vague. I'm not sure if I should suggest my mom to go or not. She is coming to berkeley with me though, but I feel like she'd have a better time just touring around the campus with my sister and my dad.

<p>Parent here. I did not do the parent orientation. We took our son up for Calso and walked around on our own. We’ve been just fine. I didn’t miss anything that I needed. Congratulations, by the way. I hope you love Berkeley as much as my son does. :-)</p>
<p>While it is expensive, CalSO for parents is extremely helpful. They get the run down on everything and really appreciate it. If you have any specific questions about it please do ask.</p>
