Caltech Supplement- complete sentences on all?

For the first two questions on the Caltech supplement:
"What are three adjectives your friends would use to describe you?"
"Please list three books, along with their authors, that have been particularly meaningful to you. You need not confine yourself to math or science-related texts."
Do I have to write in complete sentences? It only gives 350 characters for the first one and 600 for the second one. So can I just explain what I write w/o complete sentences?

I managed to use complete sentences, but it really required paring down the length of my sentences and eliminating every single unnecessary word.

The three adj. one i just wrote the 3 adjectives. I did write a complete sentence for the book one but it was just "Three books that have influenced me are..." and I got in so i don't think they care.

My son did just listed what they asked. He got in ea. I don't think they are trying to find out how well you construct sentences. I think they want to know how you would describe yourself and what books you like to read.

Yeah, I didn't explain anything for those questions, and got in EA. I got scared because the character limits were so HIGH lol.

yeah, I just listed the adjectives and the books (and authors). no explanations. I mean, I put a lot of time into thinking about what to put, but I didn't explain. anyhow, I got in EA today. :D
