<p>I've heard rumors that the Caltech UCSD Med Scholars program has been cancelled, and Caltech's application no longer has the option to apply to the Med Scholars program, can anybody confirm this?</p>
<p>Looks like they are no longer listing it on their website?</p>
<p>Spoke to them in June…NO LONGER an option…HISTORY !!</p>
<p>I have confirmed with Caltech that this is indeed correct.</p>
<p>Here is a response.</p>
<p>“We have removed the UCSD/Caltech Med Scholars Program from the website because the arrangement has been canceled for the foreseeable future. In the past, we were able to grant conditional admittance to medical school at UC San Diego, but only to six students. Regardless of that program, we have had great success sending Caltech graduates to medical school for both MD or MD/PhD tracks, and I would encourage you to review these resources to learn about the support, guidance and preparation that Caltech students will have in pursuing a career in medicine.”</p>
