Cambridge Interview Invitation

I forgot to say:

GOODLUCK EVERYONE!

My interview is on the 8th, for Linguistics @ Christ. I just got my invitation when I got home today.

I hope this isn’t a really bad question, but does anyone know if interview dates can be changed? I’m going to miss a lot of school, and it’s what’s called tech week in ballet, meaning we have really intense practice because we perform on Friday and Saturday.

It wouldn’t hurt to ask about changing the date. They can only say no. Just drop the college a polite email saying you have personal committments and would prefer an interview date the following week.

OMG BMAT scores come out in a few hours!!!

Leaving US in 28 hours! Interviews are on Monday! Good luck to everyone else!

I just got off the plane from San Francisco and am currently in a hotel in western London near Paddington. Not very interesting here. Interview in 4 days. Don’t feel like reviewing math right now, jet lagged and quite frankly kind of bored.

Any other US students in London right now? Ha ha we can have a US CCer gathering in London!

I’ll be there by Sunday afternoon!

^What have you done in London so far? I’m looking for ideas of interesting stuff to do before the interview.

I’m getting into London Sunday morning too (Oxford interview), CC meetup anyone?

Most museums and art galleries in London are free, so you could just spend your time browsing for nothing. At least this will be relaxing before your interview. Bear in mind it will be dark by 4pm.

Make sure you plan your onward travel so you are not late for any interviews.

If you are going to Oxford from London, your train goes from Paddington station.
If you are going to Cambridge from London, your train goes from Kings Cross (quicker) or Liverpool Street station.

In both cases you can take a bus from Victoria coach station (which is round the corner from the Victoria train station you will find on the tube map. Easy to find following signs) as a slower but cheaper alternative.

I applied to Edinburgh (and some others) as well as Cambridge, so we landed at EDI around 3 on Sunday. Overnight train to London where we spent almost the whole day at the British Museum, then we took the train from Kings Cross to Cambridge. I think my interview went okay. Now we just wait.

Is there only one interview at Cambridge?

I got into Oxford
Has anyone else heard back from Cambridge or Oxford?

You applied to St. John’s right? me too… I haven’t heard anything yet though. When did they email you?

I’m in at Oxford too. What courses did you guys apply to “read”?

I applied to St. John’s; I got the email on Monday (did you request to get your decision by email?)
member - I applied to read Engineering for likely transfer to EEM
