Hi, I know not that many kids applying to US schools also apply to the UK but i was wondering how many people out there are actually going to Oxford or Cambridge for an interview next week?

lol.... i guess not.

cambridge interviews are very different from alumni interviews in America. they're very focused on the major you've picked, and very academic. I tried for the engineering one - the prof asked me what a machine was, gave me a physics problem to solve. she gave a friend of mine a radio to take apart and asked him to identify the components. you get the idea.

lol, just in case you didn't know

haha yeah i realize the oxbridge interviews are not as warm and fuzzy as the American ones :S I'm applying for history and I think i can handle questions about history but if they asked me to take a radio apart i would freak out, lol. I'm just not sure what kind of questions they'll ask if i'm applying for history...
