Cambridge, is it safe?

<p>How safe is the area around Harvard? We just returned home from a very short visit and the area around the campus seemed very safe. There were lots of students walking around to the different restaurants and ice cream shops etc. Since we were only there for a very short time, I want to make sure we didn't over look something. Any one out there with any thoughts? </p>

<p>It is safe. However, as in any city, one should use good judgement and be aware of one's surroundings.</p>

<p>Thanks Twinmom. I appreciate your input. Yes, I do agree that everyone should use good judgement and be aware. That was pretty much the feeling I got while visiting. It appears to be a nice place to go to school :)</p>
