I am taking two AP exams online this year.
The computer I want to take the exams on is a MacBook, because it has a bigger screen than my chromebook (I have really bad vision, so the larger font helps). Problem is that the webcam on that computer rarely ever works. I’ve been keeping track of the CollegeBoard requirements for what device you can use and originally a working webcam was one of the requisites, but now it’s not.
I took the SSAT online this year and they had a proctor watching one way, with a requirement that camera and audio was on the entire time. Does anyone know if AP is using a similar format? I also heard from a classmate today that they are requiring cameras on to record you and track eye movement (???) making sure that you don’t look away from the screen. That seems slightly unlikely but I also wouldn’t be too surprised if it were true.
If anyone has information on how these exams are going to be administered/proctored please let me know. Thanks.
