I am waiting to apply until I get the results of a major program I will be attending and the results of my next ACT. (Both results should be at about the same time in three weeks) Do you think this okay? How will I know when they are approaching the 5,000 limit mark.
I’m applying as well! Do you guys have any idea of how long each response should be?
I also just applied! My answers varied in length, some were longer, some were shorter!
I just filled out my student profile, but will I be able to add a resume somewhere? Also, will I be able to add my other AP scores when they come in this July?
@sowaatnou this may be a bit late, but if you applied for the early deadline and are selected for an interview there is a good chance you will be notified early. I was actually notified of my interview at the very end of June and actually had my interview in August, before the regular deadline had even passed. I know of some people who had interviews in late November who applied for the regular deadline, so there’s lots of variability. Also, I don’t think there’s an advantage at all in applying early! I don’t know of anyone else who applied early for the class of 2017 and received it, most were regular.
Also @peoplewonderingaboutlengthofresponses, it doesn’t really matter. Responses will vary in length, and when I say responses will vary in length, I believe I recall writing only 200 words for one essay and over 600 for others. Just write how much you need to not only adequately answer the question, but answer it to the very best of your ability. One big mistake people make in essays for scholarships and colleges is cramming a bunch more words into the essay because “it wasn’t long enough”. If you don’t have any more ideas to share, it’s okay to stop writing! Throwing more words in just for the sake of it will only make it repetitive and less effective.
