"Campus Applied" on Albert Changed

Im an ED2 applicant to NYU Stern and initially when I applied the Campus Applied section on Albert said NYU Stern School of Business, 2015, etc. But now it changed to "Washington Square" this morning I think. Whats the deal with that?

Oh my God, the same thing happened to me a few days ago, and I’ve been raking college confidential since. It hasn’t happened to anybody else.

@ImNYUobsessed‌ dude what the heck is going on, are we already declined from our top school and are being considered for LSP?

What are the odds of THAT? This is weeks before the deadline; they haven’t even received all my application items yet.
We’ll be fine.

@ImNYUobsessed‌ lol I freak out too much

Haha it’s okay…I was like that too until I saw your post…maybe it’s just a thing that happens to all applicants?

this nyulocal article might clear some things up

"Another change on Albert that seems to be commonly believed as an indicator of acceptance is when the status of the applicant’s application has changed from one school to another. For instance, a CAS applicant would have “College of Arts & Science” under their status when the Albert account was first created. However, many began to notice that the school name has changed to LSP or another NYU school. The results from the disclosure thread highly suggests that students who had the LSP change were denied by their first-choice and placed into LSP.

NYU has, however, commented that the change in school names is simply showing that they are considering the student for their second-choice school(s) as indicated on their Common Application and does not necessarily mean they have been rejected from their first-choice. Yet, the lack of students who had the “LSP change” but were accepted into their first-choice seem to be rare, if there are any at all."

I applied to CAS and I am getting Washington Square also. Don’t know if it has always been like that. Also, how do you tell if you are EDII or RD. I asked to be changed from RD to EDII, and the lady said she did, but I just want to make sure :(

Mine changed from Tisch. But it says that Washington Square is the umbrella name for anything at the New York Campus in general.

@BigScaryMonster‌ on the commonapp dashboard, click on NYU. The little extension that pops up should say “Fall 2015 ED2” also I’m glad you could switch from RD :)

@ImNYUobsessed‌ @Garamond‌ so are we good for our top choice?
