I've waited until the last possible second to take a campus tour before school starts back up so now all the appointments are booked.

My mom and I are thinking about just showing up at one of the dates since it's only us two and see how that goes. We only live about 2 hours away and if they tell us we can't go on the tour then we will just find something to do in the area for the day.

I'm just curious if anyone has gone to the campus tour and if they would be alright with us just popping up. I know they make you make an appointment for a reason...but I'm just curious if they are pretty strict about the tour. Do they make you sign in or anything like that?

You could probably sneak into a group pretty easily, but even if you can’t you can just explore on your own. There isn’t anything they’ll tell you that you can’t figure out on your own, though some carry sharper penalties than others (don’t swim in the pond!!).

Every single one is booked?! Jeez that’s surprising since they have one every week day. I’m going on July 20th from out of state :)

Just pick your favorite date, show up with the rest of the group and NATURALLY DO NOT SIGN IN with the rest of the group. Attendance is not taken and the groups are split up into three smaller groups. Good Luck ! Additionally, after the initial tour is completed, I believe ONCE A DAY at 1:00 PM the group is broken down even further, and you can take the optional dorm tour.

Well campus tours are at 10AM and 2PM and usually lead you infront of Brooklyn Restaurant in Ferrel Commons around 12PM and 4PM for the dorm tour which is not something you have to sign up for. Right now, the only tours they’re doing are of the Libra community.

you do not NEED to have an appointment…i think they just do that to keep count of who’s interested in their school. You can easily go into the room where you’ll hear them explain about the school (without signing in) and then groups will be broken down. No one will know you didn’t have an appointment. Just get there a little early though. It’s a beautiful school! Very big.

@Syncronym Yeah that’s what I was thinking about doing if they for some reason told us we couldn’t join them. & I’ll try and stay away from the pond lmao, thanks!

@as21608 Lucky! I’m excited for you! Where are you coming from? And yeah, all booked :\ The next possible date would have been August 8th, but this says “Campus Tours are unavailable from August 8, 2011 through August 21, 2011.” I haven’t heard much about the Libra dorms, so I will probably go on that tour too, thanks!

@cnmpsyd Thanks! I’m going to try and go sometime in the next 2 weeks.

@princess91 Yeah, I’ve heard from everybody and their momma about how beautiful UCF is! I can’t wait to actually see it for myself lol. (: Thanks for the help!

I’m coming all the way from Pennsylvania Can’t wait to get out of here, lol. You should definitely just show up, they can’t do anything about it! Plus, I’m almost positive they just have sign ups because when people apply they’ll know who has visited. For example, some schools require that you take a campus tour, but UCF just uses it to see who is more interested. It won’t hurt you if you don’t sign up officially

Nice! And me too, I can’t wait to actually be going to UCF (:
That makes sense about the sign ups. I didn’t know some schools require it.

Yeah, I know it’s crazy. Mostly small schools require it.
