Can we visit without being a part of the campus tour? The tours are all full for Saturdays until April and I would really like to visit this month. I know it probably won't be as informative, but it's better than nothing.

Of course. Students aren't the only ones on campus you know.

I went up Wednesday afternoon just to take another look. Parking is horrendous, but I wanted to walk around one more time and look at the dorms and get a feel for the campus with all the students there. My parents went with me and we didn't go on any scheduled tours (I did that last spring),. It's so big! Just go and spend the day and have fun....take your map! Go Gators!

Yeah. Call some friends up who already attend UF and just have them show you around. Go now while the weather is still cool. I went during the summer last year and it was SOOO hot.

The best thing you can do is to go by yourself. I would recommend going to Turlington Plaza and the Plaza of the Americas. There you can see how students interact. The tours take you to all the land marks, but you will prob be interested in only the student life. Take a look at the college you want to attend (Engineering, CLAS, Music, etc). You can normally get a tour from the department head which is informative as well.
