Campus Tours for College

Hey guys!

I was wondering how campus tours work?

And what colleges you recommend touring in the NJ, NY, PA area.

Tours can differ from school to school. Some places will have you stay overnight to get a feel for college life, but I think those are generally geared towards accepted students.

I myself visited UMass Dartmouth for their April Open House, and it was just that…an Open House. There was an opening presentation, free goodies, tons of information, and things such as tours of the science labs, dorms, food, financial aid meetings, and of course…the school shop. So it was a lot less structured and more open, and I think quite a few of the people there honestly had no idea what the school was about, but were certainly interested (I had done research beforehand). So i’d say try and scope out each school’s website to see what they offer.

OH! And don’t forget, you may have to register online in advance - wouldn’t want to accidentally not do that!

You show up at the admissions office and walk around the campus with a student guide for like an hour. You tour colleges you are looking at… you don’t just tour random colleges.
