Campus Visits

My son visited Tulane last fall during one of the Campus Preview Days and also met with a representative during their visit to his HS.

He loves the school and will be applying this fall - he already sent his ACT score in June. From reading the posts on this board it seems as though ‘interest’ plays a part in admissions.

He used his personal email address to schedule campus visits but is using his school email for his Common Application. I assume that they track whether a student visited or not if it is important in the process, just wondering if he needs to use the same email address or they have some other way to link his visit to his application.

I didn’t think it was an issue but he mentioned that he has gotten a few “come visit us” emails from Tulane recently. Thanks for any insight anyone has - he is our first kid to apply to colleges so this is a new process for us as parents.

I don’t think it could hurt at all for him to write his regional officer and point out the change in email, and even mention that he visited on X date and wants to make sure that is in his file, since he did change email addresses. That also has the advantage of opening up a dialog between the two, which is never a bad thing.

Thank you, that is a great idea.
