I'm interested in the campus size at Wesleyan. Also, how much is there to do on campus? What's nearby (Walking distance)? I'm sure I wont have a car so I'm looking for a college with an OK campus with a good amount of things to do. I've heard // read that the people there are generally really nice.

Lastly, I'm planning on visting Wesleyan during the summer. Is there any specific time I should go? Any events that I might catch?

If you visit during the fall, I can def. help you find somewhere to stay :-)

It's much more likely to have stuff going on come fall than there is in the summer, but there will be students still on campus.

The campus isn't HUGE but it's a nice size. There are so many different organizations on campus that are always putting on shows and stuff, the advantage of having such a big arts presence is that there are always movies to watch, student plays to go to, musicals, acapellas, the list goes on.

The town is nice, the main street is a short walk from campus and there are LOTS of ethnic and speciality restaurants around there. It's a really nice area.

Basically, there's almost no where you'd want to go on a regular basis that requires a car. Almost everyone stays on campus on the weekends, so there's always a ton going on. Wesleyan is really just a very busy campus in general... since people tend to multitask and do a lot :P Main Street of Middletown is a block past the edge of campus, and completely within walking distance... there isn't THAT much to do there, but there are some great (and affordable) restaurants and laser tag and a roller rink and such.

Be aware that if you're visiting Wesleyan in the summer, you won't see Wesleyan in its prime - it's the students that really bring the school to life. I highly recommend visiting in the summer, and if you like it decently, do an overnight in the fall to really see what it's like!

I see. I did plan on visiting during the summer and once more during the fall to catch a glimpse of student life there. The campus sounds great with a lot to do.

My final college options were Wesleyan, Lafayette, Colgate, Penn State Honors, University of Rochester, and some others. So if have any questions on any of the schools let me know.

I actually can't put into words how excited I am for august 29th. I've already made friends (yeah even phone converstions) with kids i'm going to school with this fall. Some of them i've met, others I haven't. It's just wonderful.
