<p>Does Columbia have a campus (like Georgetown) or is it just some buildings in a part of the city?</p>
<p>Columbia has a gated/walled campus area from 114th to 120th (in between Broadway and Amsterdam). It also owns/is affiliated with many of the surrounding buildings as well.</p>

<p>...oh, and ignore the corrugated metal buildings. They were there in the late 1990s when Alfred Lerner Hall (student center) was being built, but have since been removed and reverted to lawns/landscaping.</p>
