I have a 504 for ADHD and other things, I'm given extra time on regular in class tests, (Although all my teachers except for Math and History give anybody unlimited time anyways, but I get extra time if needed in those classes as well) But when I take the SAT, ACT, and various AP Exams, will I be allowed extra time or not?

You should, but you’ll definitely want to talk to your GC.

Yes, you will be allowed extra time if you fill out test-specific forms. I don’t know what grade you’re in (I’m guessing sophomore year), but you’ll want to do it as soon as possible. Ask your GC about it ASAP. I think for the ACT you fill out the forms on your own. However, be aware that your request may also be denied. But if you start now, I think you have a better chance of getting the necessary accommodations come May (for the AP tests). I have no idea for the other tests.

I will ASAP, but is it unlimited time or will I only get like 30-40 minutes extra?

[Extended Time](Extended Time – Accommodations | College Board)

Basically, you either get 50% extended time (1.5 times what everyone else gets) or 100% extended time (twice what everyone else gets).

It’s 50 percent extra but it’s not automatic and requires you to apply for the exception. You need notes from your school and doctors and copies of all documentation while in school going back as long as you’ve had exception. It’s not automatic. Once approved by College board it’s approved for AP for all of HS. ACT is separate and harder to get approved.

[Services for Students with Disabilities | National Extended Time (50% more time) | ACT Student](<a href=“Requesting Accommodations | The ACT Test”>Requesting Accommodations | The ACT Test)

The ACT gives “up to 50% extended time” to people who apply and qualify.
