Can a 504 get me extra time on the SAT?

I have a 504 plan for various reasons that i'm not going to get to in depth on. But one of which involves me needing extra time for tests as I am a slow test taker. On normal tests if I'm out of time I always get the chance to finish, but are 504 plans allowed to do this on the SAT to?

The SAT allows special disability accommodations. You need to apply for one- you’ll find instructions on the Collegeboard website or through a google search.

As the previous poster said, you need to apply to get the accommodations. It takes 7 weeks AT THE LEAST so make sure you didn’t register for one less than 7 weeks away. Usually they make you do it through a school official.

My son’s accommodations through the College Board took 2 weeks. However, my understanding is that specifically for extra time, which he did not need, it can take much longer up to 7 weeks.

You do not have to do it through a school official, the parents can do it, but it is MUCH easier to do it through the high school guidance office.
