If you want to score real well on the Lsat, then would a lot of reading be beneficial?

Readings of anything, a big book on religion, a fiction book, whatever, as long as it's big and has a thousand pages, and you read like 4 of these, you get the picture...

because they always say reading is the key to success, and that it helps students in every subject through school to do well.

or what else can help you do better for the lsat (other than practices lsats)

I think it would help you, especially on the essay section (where you read a 450 word essay and answer about 4-7 questions on it) - speed and comprehension are the two things which will allow you to do well there. The LSAT is designed to crunch you for time. If you can read it quickly, you'll have more time and an advantage.

I have probably read only 3 books in my lifetime (no joke). However, I seem to do fine on SAT I/II and LSATs. I'm sure it helps, but the reading comprehension involves a lot of analytical skill as well.
