I don't have tear-jerking stories of a life in a foreign military, experiences from a broken home, of rescuing children from a burning building, etc.
Nor have I won awards for screenplays or musical gold. Really, all I have is my art, my family, and my sense of humor (Although it can't be depicted now because I just woke up and my only verbal capability at the moment is grunting. In all fairness, there is an art to grunting).
What I'm trying to get at is, can a college essay/personal statement be comical and still be successful?
And HOW can I achieve this without sounding like a post-pubescent child?
