If I change my major through college, will they be able to take away that scholarship even if the scholarship is available for any intended major?</p>
<p>If the scholarship isn’t major-specific, usually you can change your major and keep the scholarship.</p>
<p>HOWEVER, we don’t know your school’s rules, so YOU need to call your scholarship office and ASK. or…even better… send an email and KEEP the answer for proof of their answer.</p>
<p>My S was able to have a major-specific scholarship switched to a different one in the same amount but there was a process for doing it and that process will be specific to your school. Send an email to your college’s admissions counselor (if you aren’t at college yet - your advisor if you are) and ask.</p>
<p>Some scholarships are major specific, grade specific, all sorts of specific, so you need to know the rules and conditions of any scholarship you get.</p>
