Hi, I am considering going to Pitt in the fall, and I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering. Can someone tell me about the SPACE program? Is it located in a certain residence hall? Is the rooming process similar, where you are matched up with someone based on interest/personality/study habits? I already know that it is pretty beneficial to freshmen engineering students since the work is difficult. I would also appreciate any other information on the engineering program at Pitt. :D

AwesomeOpossum is an Engineering major who posts here. She’s away on Spring Break, but I’ll bet will post when she gets back. I’m also strongly considering Pitt for Engineering.

SPACE is a living-learning community, in Forbes Hall (if that hasn’t changed). You can find some info online about it. [Living Learning Communities | Student Affairs Home](http://www.studentaffairs.pitt.edu/reslifellc) Alot of engineers also get into the Honors College and choose to live in Honors housing at Sutherland Hall - which is what my ds did.
