Mediocre ECs and Essays

My first rejection was from UCR, scared the sunshine out of me; it said I wasn’t elegible enough. Then I got rejected by UCLA, which was a no surprise. Then UCSB rejected me. After that it was UCD saying I wasn’t elegible enough, again. Miracle then happened, I got accepted to UCI. Then the next day I got rejected by UCSD.

All of them I declared as undeclared. So what troubles me is, is UCR better UCI or something? If I got rejected by UCR, UCLA, UCSB, UCD, UCSD and got accepted by UCI, is UCI the worst school among the UC schools I applied to?

Which is not true.

The ranking usually puts UCR at the bottom, with UCI, UCSB and UCD fighting for the middle ranks, with UCSD following and finally UCLA at the top.

Frankly, I'm surprised you were admitted -- the admission process in UCs is extremely numbers driven and your GPA is rather low.

That aside, congratulations! If you do decide to go, UCI really is a good school.
