well, i would be a senior next year.
today, i went to a private college consulting firm.
the firm wanted my schedule next year so i gave it to them.
it looks like:
1. Academic Decatholan
2. Ap Lit
3. Ap Econ & Ap Gov
4. Ap French
5, Ap chem
6. Technical art (graduation requirment)
7. Swim
the firm was like i will not have any chance to Ivies if i do my classes like this next year because i do not have enough "solid classes".
Is that true?
If so, then i might have to play around my schedule and add another solid class. (this may be possible because Tech art and Swim are only semester classes and I may be able to find another solid class that fits my schedule)
Plz help me on this.

BTW, don't point out my spelling. I know it is pretty bad.

Be careful not to overload yourself. First semester senior year you will be busy researching colleges and writing applications. Don't underestimate the time all this takes. Usually I would say one additional class will not make or break your application but not taking math usually is not a wise idea.

I would hate to second guess the college counseling service that you went to -- they would be more familiar with your school, your stats and the stats and classes of kids admitted from your school. If they arent' all that familiar with that info -- you are wasting you time and money with them.

What classes did you take Junior year and how did you do?

Did they specifically say you needed a math class? could you take an online math class that is more advanced (Harvard extension offers some, I believe -- as does EPGY).

well i took ap lang, ap ush, french 3, art, academic decathlon, swim in addition to math class thru louisiana state univ last year and took ap physics, ap bio, ap euro, honors english 10, swim, academic decathlon on sophomore yaer

I would recommend a math class -- not AP stats if you can help it -- but an advanced level taken at a college/university -- either in class or online.

I also strongly feel that by omitting the 4th year Math, you are reducing your chances at Ivies.

Also the senior course load do depend upon your junior courses too, if you can provide the following then I'll be able to provide more concrete advice.

List year (i.e. 9, 10, and 11) and the courses:

Languages:
Social Sciences (History etc.)
Science:
Math:

I think your fine. The fact that you took three APs sophomore year is really impressive I think. If your private consulting firm wants you to take more "solid classes" what do they suggest? Did they give you any options? I think you should be asking them this question, not a bunch of high school students.

first well thanx for your interest. as hsmomstef says, i self-taught ap calc bc and managed to get a 4 on ap exam during my sop year. during my junior yaer, i took multivariable calculus thru Louisian state Univ. the consulting firm asked me to take another ap class even though the class would be bs ap like ap environmental science (no offense here. just the truth i am telling).

so my question is do i really have to take those bs ap classes? i heard from people that ap environmental sci and ap stat are 2 ap courses competing for a bs ap title.

and somebody wants be do post my schedule for past 3 years. so here it is.
9th grade
Languages: ESL (1st semester) and regular english 9 (2nd semester)
Social Sciences (History etc.): nope. my school was brand new and back then it only offered ap human geography (restricted to those who got 95% in "American jr. h.) and ap euro (restricted to 10th graders only)
Science: regular bio
Math: Honors algebra2 and trig

10th grade
Languages: english 10th honors
Social Sciences (History etc.): ap euro
Science:ap bio and ap physics b
Math: honors pre-calc (independent study for calculus bc becasue my math teacher scared me by saying that the school will not offer ap calc class the following year)

11th grade
Languages: ap lang
Social Sciences (History etc.): ap us history
Science:nope. my schedule did not allow me to take ap chem. so i went to self-teach ap physics c and just took ap exams
Math: multivariable calc thru LSU.

i got all A's in my classes so far.
furthermore, i took french for past 3 years. (my counselor thought i was crazy because i was taking ESL along with french).
