Can anyone help me find some good colleges?

Hey I’m a junior starting to look at colleges. I got a 2000 on the SAT but that should go up atleast 30 points (I retook it). Hopefully a 2050. I have about a 3.5 UW GPA but that’s likely to go to a 3.45 after this year. Should be a 4.22 or 4.24 weighted though.
-Hardest courseload so far including this year I have taken or am taking 7 APs. Everything else honors or high honors except for Gym in frosh and soph year.

  • Hopefully a varsity sport, (I’m so close to lettering this track season)
  • I’m a vp and cofounder of a club so I think I have decent EC’s.

I’m looking for a school outside of the northeast. I want to go atleast 3 hours away and I’m more than willing to go all the way to the west coast. I want to major in geology although bioengineering is also pretty interesting to me.

Has to be atleast 5000 kids. I don’t like small schools. I’m very outdoorsy. I couldn’t do something like NYU, BU, or Northeastern. I don’t mind cities but I need nature acess. Also I’m very independent/libertarian politics wise. I would be much more willing to go to a liberal school than a conservative school. I don’t think I could go to a place like Washington and lee for example.

Thanks for the help!

University of Washington? University of Oregon?

What can your family afford?

Cost isn’t a factor. We’ve got a good amount saved already and my grandparents are chipping in significantly as well as my parents as long as I keep atleast a B average in college

Bump, by the way U of Washington is definitely on my list. I’ll look more into Oregon

How about Michigan Tech? UColorado - Boulder? UVermont?

Your parents and grandparents do know that these schools can cost $50,000 per year, right? You should work with your parents to run the net price calculators on each college website on the financial aid page. Grandparents in particular often don’t realize the cost of college these days.
