Please.. Do I have any shot to Wisconsin if I get the SAT score of higher than
1750 on my oct sat??

Thanks for reading and have a nice day ^^

Your verbal score is awful. I'm not going to lie. That's an extremely low score for someone looking at a good college. The only percentiles I know for Wisconsin are for ACT, so without your class rank I can't really say.

NYU and BU are out of your range.

All I can really say is that I don't think any college would look favorably on such a poor verbal score. Bring it up.

They all seem at best a reach.

you mentioned that you are an international student...is English your first language? I have heard of people for whom English is not a native language taking the TOEFL...also if thats the situation I would think they would give you some leeway as far as critical reading goes.

Either way, I personally think that the best way to improve CR is to get that huge SAT study guide book that the college board puts out and do their practice sections. Yeah, some of the material is the type of thing that you will learn over time in an English class, but for the most part the more familiar you are with the test itself the better you will do. Also, perhaps do some vocabulary studying...make flascards and do 5-10 words a day, or get a vocabulary workbook and do a section every few days.

Good luck with your college applications!

also I was just wondering, why are you applying ED to NYU if Washington is your first choice? If you get into NYU you are required to attend.
