Chances for UW-Madison?

Hello!
I was just wondering what you think my chances are at getting into University of Wisconsin
Sat: Math-660, Reading-570, Writing-590

I go to a pretty prestigious private school and my GPA freshman year was only a 2.9, then sophomore I had a 3.6, and junior year I had a 3.9. So my accumulative is a 3.5. Since UW-Madison is so big I'm not sure whether or not they will look at my progression.

I've played 2 varsity sports all 4 years, the school musical all 3 (will do this year 2), I'm in a bunch of clubs at school, I'm a prominent leader in a youth-led organization for Jewish teens called BBYO, and I have over 200 community service hours.

My teacher recommendations should be good and I had my essay edited by my English teacher.
What do you think my chances are? If you need more information, I'd be happy to give you more.

thanks!

Are you a WI or MN resident?

When I visited, Wisc gave me a chart that gave ROUGH probabilities of getting in based on stats. On this chart, you're at 30%. So it's going to be difficult...make sure you apply to easier schools. But certainly worth it.

I am not a WI resident but my dad is... so I will get in-state tuition but I'm not sure if that will help with my admission

as for that chart... I have it too but when I looked at it it said I was at 50%

thanks!

thanks for chancing me!

I think it'd be better if you had slightly higher test scores. I don't know too much about this school to say more.

your ECs are sufficient... but if i were you i'd definitely consider retaking the SAT to have a better chance.

Good ECs, and kinda average everywhere else. Its good that you have an upward trend of GPA. I would say its a slight reach, almost a toss-up. This is only my opinion and im not TOO familiar with UW-Madison

I would say that it comes down to your ACT score; the midwest schools tend to rely more heavily on ACT than SAT, other than that the ECs are solid and the GP is average but the trend will hopefully help you. I'm kind of running into the same issue where I slacked off freshmen and sophmore year but am finishing strong junior year. hope it works out for you

Yes finally ppl talkin about Wisconsin! All join the Wisconsinites only group. Also, Madison is easy to get into, relax! Forget the SAT, it's Madison. You just need to get an easy 24-30 on the ACT piece of cake man!
