<p>All schools offer special academic programs nearly identical to LAC's. And some LACs have a sizable enrollment.</p>

<p>The first names that come to mind are Princeton, Dartmouth, and UChicago.</p>

<p>What exactly does "LAC-ish academics" mean? Many state U's have honors programs, which give the feel of a small school's classes in a large school environment - would those fit the bill of what you're looking for?</p>

<p>big school and LACish experience don't go together</p>
<p>One larger school with small classes is Towson (MD). Another one, which has large and small 101 classes (you might need to take a few that have 100 students, but you could work your way around this somewhat too) is James Madison University (VA). There are very few TAs at those two schools. BTW, sang54 is right, so it is tough to find what you are looking for.</p>
<p>William & Mary, Wake Forest, Rice, Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Claremont Consortium have a LAC type education but are larger than a typical LAC. For some it gives the nec "breathing room" that a LAC doesnt.</p>
