Can anyone who got accepted in Macaulay Honors, recently, share their SAT/ACT score? Any tips?

Hello everyone. I am interested in applying to Macaulay Honors, and I would like for some of the people who got accepted to share their stats with me and others. If possible, can you also mention the school in which you attend through the program.

@GeorgeTskosis Hey! I’m also intending on applying to Macaulay and set up a thread in the CUNY section for discussion. This past year, one student from my school got into Queens MHC with a score in the upper 1400s and two students got in Baruch MHC with upper 1300s. All had around a 94 average and good ECs and essays, they told me, which are very important at Macaulay, my CGC said. Another student applied for Queens MHC with a 1400 SAT and 92 uw-gpa and was declined at Macaulay but accepted at Queens Scholars (1/2 tuition scholarship) and attributed it to a poor essay and weaker ECs. You don’t need to apply separately for CUNY Honors programs, which are administered by individual campuses and come with varying scholarships and perks.

Just for comparison, at a neighboring school, a friend told me he got in Queens MHC with a 1290 SAT and attributed it to excellent ECs and an amazing essay. I believe the website says that a 1250 SAT and 90 uw-gpa are required. Some campuses (ie Hunter MHC which gives two years of room and board) are more selective than others (ie John Jay MHC or CSI MHC). Best of luck!

Thank you for the information. This is just what I needed. Most importantly, Good Luck to you. Adding on, If you don’t mind can you send me the link of the discussion you started.
