Can Colleges See Your High School Attendance Record?

I am currently a junior in high school and I am pretty strong academically. I am taking 6 AP classes right now, and I am on track to being a valedictorian. A couple of these AP classes are taught by new teachers who don’t know what they are doing. Going to their classes is a complete waste of time as they don’t teach well and their curriculum is very unorganized. Since I have to learn the content by myself anyway, I often skip these classes so I can get more sleep and have more time to do other schoolwork. I never skip classes taught by good teachers (for example, I have never skipped AP Calculus BC). This works well for my grades, and I have all As right now. However, I have around 10 “unconfirmed absence” marks during these unorganized classes on my attendance record so far this school year as a result. I was told that as long as my school doesn’t put my attendance on my transcript and I am receiving good grades, this won’t lower my chances of getting into any colleges. Could somebody please confirm whether this is true? Will colleges be able to see my attendance record during the admissions process if it is not on my transcript, and if so, will they care about the absences? Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this long paragraph.

This is a super bad habit to be starting in HS. Go to class.

Your poor attendance could result in disciplinary action that could be reported on your transcript or by your guidance counselor.

I don’t see your current strategy resulting in a good GC recommendation.
