the topic seems a bit strange.usually, freshman apply to another university for the second school year.If I give up the first year credit hours, can I apply as a freshman?

no, once you've attempted credit, you're a transfer

No. You can not.

Some schools will let you apply after only one semester (or with one semester of credit). In that case, you would be a transfer, but your class standing would be "freshman" upon arrival.

okay~thank u all~I understand that.
Absolutely transfer acceptance is harder than freshman applicants. If u didnt get in your dream schools, what would u do?gap a year or wait to transfer?

Gap year does not increase the likelihood of getting accepted to a given school, all other things equal. Best to abandon the notion of "dream" school. There are likely at least dozens of schools which will work very well for you and where you will be quite happy.

If you have an acceptance in hand to a school where you've applied, go ahead and go. Get involved. Do your best. Don't think about transfer - at all - until end of first term. If transfer interests you at that point, it's plenty of time to do transfer apps.

Andale
ur suggestion is totally right.I understand that.Of course gap year is risking and doesnt mean I can get in for the next year.
Reading threads in CC for a period,I also grasp some transfer information that i dont know before.i admit that i'm a bit lazy and timid,so i hesitate to become a freshman or a transfer as transfer is hard.
Although transfer is hard and the acceptance rate is pretty low,it's possible if I work hard for it.Even the rate is high,it doesnt mean I can get in it.Am I right?
Just do my best.

^^ All correct.
