Can good Grades Junior Year turn Colleges On?

I’ve heard colleges really look at junior year the most, since you’re taking your hardest classes. For me, my GPA has been
Freshman Year-3,26
Sophomore Year-3.32

Since this will be the first year for me taking APs( Stat and APUSH), if i can get a 3.6+, would that be the difference for me getting into a decent college and a good college? Not just because of the upward trend, but because its Junior Year?

An upward trend and doing better in harder classes should definitely help you.
