Can I apply both to Georgetown College and SFS?

Is that a possibility? And if not, is it possible to transfer from the College to SFS? Thanks!

No, you may apply to only one school. However, it is usually not too difficult to transfer from the College to SFS.

Thank you! So then would it be a wiser choice to apply to the college instead of the sfs to have a higher chance of admittance?

^

No. The admissions rates only differ by a point or so for each school. In addition, you don’t want admissions to think you applied to a school just to transfer to another, that want to see that you are genuinely interested in the School you are applying to, hence the separate essays.

I mean, the College has a slightly lower admission rate, but there is clearly self-selection in that the SFS has higher average SAT scores. There are certainly people who apply to the College with the intention of transferring to the SFS.
